I am currently recruiting MA and PhD students to study immigration and politics at Concordia University (in Montreal, Canada) with generous funding packages. Please see the positions below and circulate in your network:
- Political parties and immigration (ad says Canada but this is open to comparative projects): https://www.concordia.ca/artsci/research/graduate-student-opportunities/political-science/MA_Positions_Parties_and_Immigration_in_Canada.html
- Immigration bureaucracies in an era of anti-immigration populism: https://www.concordia.ca/artsci/research/graduate-student-opportunities/political-science/ma-phd-positions-immigration-bureaucracies-in-an-era-of-populism.html
- Sanctuary cities and politics (ad says Canada but this is open to comparative projects): : https://www.concordia.ca/artsci/research/graduate-student-opportunities/political-science/MA_PhD_Positions_Sanctuary_Cities_in_Canada.html
For each of the position, we very much welcome Canadian and international applicants.
Selected students to receive a generous funding package for their studies (including international tuition release) and the cost of living in (wonderful) Montreal is low. Concordia has a good track record of student placement, a MA to PhD fast-track and has a very supporting training environment. My lab has a culture of inclusion and supports different career trajectories (academia, yes, but other things are also awesome) as well as life-work balance.
The deadline is February 1st. Interested students should contact ASAP to discuss whether they will submit an application and, if need be, how to negotiate for a bit more time to submit the application (don’t let the deadline scare you).
Happy to answer any questions ! Contact me at mireille.paquet (at) concordia.ca
